This post was initially published on November 18, 2015. Since then I have moved to Ghost as my blogging platform.

I recently perform a fresh installation of OS X El Capitan. I configure my Macs with Boxen (my own Boxen configuration is here).

Out of the box, I did not have a working Ruby environment for Jekyll, so I needed to set one up quickly.

Here's a quick Jekyll setup for my own future reference (when OS X 10.12 is out).

cd Projects/
rbenv local 2.2.3
gem install bundler
rbenv rehash
bundle install
rbenv rehash

Once done with the setup, you can run Jekyll like this.

jekyll build
jekyll serve --drafts
