I wanted to set a default size of Finder window. Though I have been using Mac for very long time, I did not know how to do this.
After a quick search, I finally found out how.
- Open a new Finder window
- Hold Command button and resize the new Finder window to your desired size
- Open a new Finder window and the new window should open at the desired size
The reference says you may need to relaunch Finder. On my MacBook Pro running macOS Catalina, I did not need to relaunch Finder at all. If it does not work for you, you may want to try a few different methods in the reference.
I can, however, confirm that this method does not work for folders at the desktop. I’m not sure why this is the case.
