Building AeroQuad
AeroQuad is an open source four-rotor helicopter project. It uses an Arduino based microcontroller for flight control. This page is about my misadventure of building a quad-rotor helicopter without any knowledge of electronics.
I was always fascinated by multi-rotor helicopters since I learned about Draganflyer long ago. I was still a student back then and could not afford to buy one (and it looks like I still cannot afford it since their new models cost above USD 10,000). Recently, I found about Patrick O’Keefe‘s blog and his Quadcopter project. After following up on his blog, I discovered more people built their own multi-rotor helicopter using Arduino microcontroller and some off-the-shelf RC components. This inspired me to jump in and build my own multi-rotor helicopter.
I will update this page as I build my first multi-rotor helicopter.
